Lewis Hamilton: From Driver to Owner

While most athletes are recognized for their on-the-field performances, some stand out outside their sport as successful business persons and entrepreneurs, for example athletes like Serene Williams and Michael Jordan are owners of teams such as Chelsea FC and the Charlotte Hornets respectively. 

Lewis Hamilton as an owner:

Lewis Hamilton has had massive success in Formula 1, Lewis is the most successful Formula 1 driver in history, he has won 7 World Championships and he still is the only full time black driver in Formula 1 history, he has had to overcome poverty and bureaucracy to rise to the top.

Lewis success does not stop on the track, he recently became a minority owner of the Denver Broncos in 2022, he had always dreamt of owning a profesional sports team and he now does, “Excited to join an incredible group of owners and become part of the Broncos story!! Lewis Hamilton also became part owner of Chelsea Football Club along with Tennis Superstar Serena Williams.

Lewis Hamilton image and success has allowed him to obtain many endorsements and business deals from brands such as Monster, Mercedes, Tommy Hilfiger, Puma and more, giving him an estimated annual salary of 54 Million Euros. 

The salaries of big time athletes have gotten so high that they are now able to own the same teams they once used to play for, this has given athletes something to focus on after retirement which could give them even more money than they would have earn as an athlete.
