2022 Dutch GP: American at the Wheel and Red Bull Conspiracy.

American finally back on the sport?

On of the first announcements made during the Dutch Grand Prix pre-race press conference was made by Helmut Marko, advisor and boss of team Red Bull and team Alpha Tauri, Marko stated that Alpha Tauri (Red Bull Juniors team) was close to signing American and IndyCar driver Colton Herta. Herta has been one of the best IndyCar drivers for the past couple of seasons, making it one of the best American Drivers available for a seat in Formula 1, the pinnacle of motorsport. Many teams are looking to bring an American as a driver since the sport has seen a massive increase in fans around the world, but mainly in America where the last United States Grand Prix had more than 400,000 attendants, on top of that there has been races announced for Miami and Las Vegas, and having an American Driver will generate a lot of revenue, sponsors and following. Although it has not been confirmed it is looking good for the young American driver.

Dutch Grand Prix Summary and Conspiracy

The Dutch Grand Prix started like any other, with Max Verstappen on the lead, but this time in front of his home crowd and orange army. Verstappen opted to use the quicker but short lasting tyres, while his race rival, Lewis Hamilton, opted to go for the slower but long lasting tyres, at the start of the race this worked out well for Verstappen, but he soon realized this was a mistake since he started going slower and slower due to the tyre life expectancy he chose, Verstappen had to go into the pits and change his tyres, leaving Lewis Hamilton ahead and with a very comfortable lead which would’ve been extremely hard to catch up. Lewis and Mercedes were cruising to victory, but all of the sudden on of the Red Bull associated teams (Alpha Tauri) decided to send a terminal damaged car into the track which caused the race to slow down giving Max a chance to catch up. Thanks to this incident Max eventually won his home race. Many people argue on wether or not Red Bull ordered this to happen, and although it seems unlikely they would risk the championship for a win, an investigation has begun to properly analyze all the facts.
